A craftsman on the margins of the music-industry, resilient to ephemeral musical trends, Wax Tailor continues to dig its groove in the shadow of the media’s “suns”. A French independent producer recognized internationally, he has been on the road for more than 20 years, has released 6 studio albums, played more than 800 concerts in 60 countries and won numerous awards. His latest album ‘The Shadow Of Their Suns’ features guests such as Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees and Del The Funky Homosapien. To talk about that and hopefully a lot more, Wax Tailor joins one of India’s finest turntablists and hip-hop flag bearers DJ Uri in conversation for what is set to be an entertaining World Music Day exchange.
